Outcome 1- 1. There’s many reasons people use to communication in the workplace, these include the building of relationships and trust, to gain and share vital information that could be beneficial not only to you, but also to the families of your children, to be able to maintain relationships with staff and children, the gaining and sharing of vital information, to be able to receive the reassurance and acknowledgement in the workplace that you’re doing good, or not if the case may be, good communication is essential to be able to express worries, needs and feelings with your peers to make sure you reach your full potential, finally good communication is fundamental in the sharing of thoughts and ideas in the workplace, to be able to have your workplace at its full ability to reassure parents and carers that it’s the right place for their children.

2. To be able to reach a substantial relationship with the children and their families a relationship should first be initiated, it’s essential to be able to communicate with them, this not only means just talking, but body language comes into it highly, without a good communication level, vital details and information that could be beneficial to you and the child could be missed, therefore effecting your relationship with that child in the workplace which could be damaging in the long run. Within the workplace certain challenges could occur when it comes to communicating, you should take in your stride different way to use to your advantage, for example another way of great communication is sign language, this is a great way to communicate with parents that are hard of hearing, another great way is by using things such as flash cards, so not only showing them a picture of what you are trying to say but it’s also written with words underneath to really emphasise on what it is you’re trying to explain. It feels as if I’m including them and willing to communicate, therefore gaining important information
