On Tuesday, a 12 year old boy brought a shotgun to Rosewell middle school in New Mexico and fired at a classmate. The boy suspected of the shooting, who the police did not identify, carried a shotgun inside a band-instrument bag, pulling it out once he entered the gym. Roswell police said the suspected shooter was arrested Tuesday and the school was placed on lock-down. A classmate said the shooter was being bullied, but New Mexico state police said they still did not have a motive.
An eleven year old boy and a thirteen year old girl were the only people injured in the. The boy was listed in critical condition and the girl was in satisfactory condition. The boy, apparently the intended target, was shot twice in the face with a shotgun, and the girl once in an arm.
MY OPINION:
I feel that this is a very sad topic. When anyone purposefully causes someone else pain it is sad but when a twelve year old boy hurts someone it is even more effecting because he was so young and innocent and he knowingly hurt someone else. I think that is the worst thing. I always hate hearing about school shootings because I know the victims are my age or younger and they must have not experienced much of life and all the beauty in it. I just pray that the parents of these kids find peace in knowing that they are in a better place.

The student came to school and shot one student and missed another. He called the student who was bullying him, and the came out of hiding and apologized, but the teacher, Ryan Heber, interrupted and he came face to face with the 16- year-old student, who was armed.
