Current Education System

Nowadays, knowledge and education seem to be more and more important to our life. In china, knowledge and education even become one of the standards which are used to judge a person. However, learning knowledge requires reveal our lack of knowledge, unfortunately, the present system of education doesn’t encourage us to admit our lack of knowledge, there is too much pressure to demonstrate the acquisition of knowledge. The aim of education is to provide chances for children to learn knowledge, it is not to discover “knowledgeable” or “potential” students. However, the reality of education is exactly in the opposite side: the student who is “knowledgeable” or “potential” will be praised by teachers and others, the student who shows his lack of knowledge will consider to be “ignorant” and don’t have much “potential”. Albert Einstein, one of the greatest scientists in the world, was considered as a “incapable of learning” in his early age, compared with other “knowledgeable” students, his creativity seemed invisible to the teachers and classmates. He was even kicked out of school at once because of his ignorant. In school, he perfectly exemplified “nobody will praise you if you are ignorant” as a result, no one would like to show their ignorant even if they know nothing. Although many great people in the history have proved that the knowledgeable one is not the only one who can success, the present education system still like to highlight the knowledgeable one. It leads to a result of “the knowledgeable you are the better you are” if you show your ignorant, you will be put a head of “ the incapable learner” by others. Hence, the present system of education doesn’t encourage us to admit our lack of knowledge, there is too much pressure to demonstrate the acquisition of knowledge. by asha
