As there is no known cure for schizophrenia it is important that the person gets help. There are many good and effective treatment options out there that can help the person and improve the quality of their life. “Schizophrenia treatment primary involves medications and therapy to reduce the risk of future psychotic episodes”. The medications used to treat schizophrenia are typically called antipsychotics. Medications work successfully to control symptoms where patients will improve to some degree, but people frequently have to try more than one drug to help control their symptoms.
