Cuban Missile Crisis Dbq Analysis

Even though it was a cold war, that doesn't mean there wasn’t heat. As world war 2 ended the cold war started. Even though there was no real combat someone had to be at fault for starting the war. Due to distrust and many another thing the cold war. Although the soviet union and the eastern sphere of influence are more at fault for starting the war. This is because of their actions like they were why to prepared to go to war with us, also what type of allies would we be if we didn’t keep up our end of a promise, last but not least the Cuban missile crises where they hit too close to home.
After ww2 ended everyone was in an arms race to create bombs to protect themselves but Russia took it a little too far. The rate in which they had launcher and reentry vehicles deployed took a big jump as shown in document 9. I believe that document 9 helps my argument because
It states that if any one of our allied forces get attacked or feels threatened we will protect and help them. Russia knows if they tried to enter into our sphere of influence that we would have to do something so I believe that Russia wanted to see how far they could push it like, a kid and get into trouble they need to see where and when the adults will draw the line.
Last but not least the Cuban missile crisis. The Russians gave bombs to Cuba that could wipe out America and we didn’t like that. So we took action and asked them to remove the bombs from Cuba so we could have a little piece of mind as stated in document 8.
I believe that it's Russia's fault for the cold war.
