Crossbow Review: Barnett Vengeance
Barnett Vengeance Crossbow Review

Many of our customers here at CrossbowExpert.com are looking for something no one else has. Representing a major leap in crossbow evolution, the Barnett Vengeance is the first crossbow to combine reverse draw technology with a lightweight CarbonLite Riser. The combination produces a bow with significantly less vibration and noise than a traditional draw crossbow without sacrificing speed or accuracy. The Barnett Vengeance is one of the best crossbows for the money.

Barnett Vengeance CrossbowBarnett's new reverse draw configuration shifts the center of gravity closer to the shooter's body by moving the limb pockets closer to the trigger assembly, while the limbs face forward on the bow. This design drastically

It only takes 140 lbs. of draw weight to generate an insane amount of power. This makes it very easy for anyone to cock.
Durability
As with any Barnett crossbow you purchase, the Vengeance comes with a 5 year parts warranty. You can rest assured that the vengeance is going to last you for many years of hunting or Barnett will fix it for you.
Mobility
Barnett Vengeance Crossbow ReviewBecause of the reverse limbs, the Vengeance is much more compact and has a smaller form factor. This makes it much more mobile because you can move through the woods quickly, without worrying about snagging your crossbow on something. It sits very comfortably on your back so that you can keep moving.
The only negative comment I have for this crossbow is that it is in the middle of the pack when it comes to weight. We can’t expect it to be at the top of the class in everything I guess. So we shouldn’t be upset that it weighs in at a very modest 8 lbs.
Safety
You are sure to be as safe as possible with the automatic safety equipped in the vengeance. It will engage as soon as you cock your bow and act as a secondary trigger so that you don’t accidently shot your friend in the

From the second chapter where the current land family is being introduced, there was a lot of focus on controlling a gun the right way while hunting. Jeremiah, Reuben, Davy, and Sweed were at August Shultz's cabin. Reuben follows Davy hunting, and when Reuben observes Davy holding his gun waiting to shoot, he sees focus in his face like never before. He uses many descriptive words when explaining Davy holding the gun such as "I remember the low angle at which he held his shotgun; I remember his shadowed, patient eyes--he looked ready to burst from cover and chase down an antelope." (Page. 14) a little while later, while redescribing the scene with Davy hunting the goose, Reuben says "Not confidence --I understand confidence. What Davy had was knowledge." (Page. 15-16)…

The counterweight trebuchet was extremely effective however it was subject to a great deal of stress during operation leading to a shortened life cycle. In order to resolve this problem, the counterweight was placed upon a hinge. This allowed it to swing as it reached the bottom of its fall, consequently reducing the stress placed upon the frame and throwing arm. This redesign not only improved the life span of the device, but also increased the total distance traveled. By increasing the distance covered, engineers were able to also increase the rotational speed of the lever arm, thus increasing the launch speed and force of the projectile.…

According to Lee A. Silva's document, "John Browning's 1887 Lever Action Shotgun was Another Winner for Winchester and a Hit with Wells Fargo Guards," many of John Browning's designs and ideas went into Oliver Winchester's firearms (Silva). Winchester also had many other occupations other than gunsmithing. The three most important parts of Winchester are the life of Oliver Winchester, the creations of Oliver Winchester, and the guns that won the West.…

The most important key to loading any firearm is safety. Being safe at all times allows lean room for error and accidents. There are three main safety rules: always keep the gun pointed in a safe direction away from anything you are not willing to shoot, always keep your finger off the trigger unless ready to fire and always keep the gun unloaded until ready for use. These three rules will guarantee you and those around you safety at all times.…

    Challenges of Bowhunting

The extensive preparation required to be a successful bow hunter is indeed an adequate challenge. Unlike hunting with a firearm, someone cannot walk blindly into a deer stand and stand a chance at harvesting a deer. One must prepare. The preparation should begin with finding a bow that “fits” the hunter, one they are comfortable with. Things must be adjusted to suit the one who will be hunting with it. Things like the draw weight which is the amount of weight require to pull the bow to “full draw” so it can be shot. After this, the hunter should practice shooting this bow to develop proper form and muscle memory well before season. Not only must this be mastered, but the hunter has to be comfortable shooting from different positions such as sitting down or standing up. But Wait! It gets better! One must know which positions are acceptable for the deer to be in for an ethical shot to be taken. For example, if a…

Robin Hood splitting his opponent’s arrow is one of the most iconic movie moments in 20th century cinema. However, until recently, archery lived on as a niche sporting market usually reserved for hunters. The interest in Archery as a recreational sport has steadily risen over the last decade. According to Jim Idema, the release of movies such as “The Hunger Games” has spurred an influx of teenagers and young college students to archery ranges across the country (1). Many of these beginning archers simply rent…

During flintlock’s peak came the next big step for firearms, accuracy. Accuracy became the big topic bringing us scopes and rifling. Scopes were more or less just the common iron sights that we have on all of our weapons today. But, rifling was a hunch thought up by archer's during the time. The archers believed that if the fletching on their arrows increased their accuracy the same could be done for…

This is caused because of Newton’s Third Law of Motion, which is that all actions have an equal and opposite reaction. The propellant explodes and sent the bullet flying forward. Because of Newton’s law, the gun comes back with an equal momentum as the bullet has moving forward. So why does the gun not go through your arm? It is because, while the bullet has great momentum, it is because of its speed, since the gun is heavy and has its impact over the whole of the shoulder with the use of the stock; it means the momentum is spread out unlike the small point of the bullet…

I had used the entire quiver and had not even hit the target once. Sylvanas had walked up to me, retrieved my bow from me, collected my arrows, and let loose on the target, hitting every shot fired. I tood in awe at her performance, her unrivaled expertise, kneeling in front of her, I had asked her if could have personal lessons with her, For I thought that the lack of people would help improve my focus. Sylvanas and I had grown very close during the time in which she trained me, and after a time of intense training, I ascended to the rank of ranger lieutenant, and was almost as good of a shot as her.…

For me, there is nothing better than getting up for the first day of bow season. I can barely sleep the night before because i am so excited to just be in my treestand. I wake up early, bow hunting is well worth getting up early. You can use a crossbow or a compound bow, i use a compound bow. I shoot a mathews but some people shoot other products like Hoyt, Diamond, Bowtech, PSE, or Bear archery. There is so many smooth shooting bows and for me there is nothing better than shooting a deer with a compound bow. You get so much of an adrenaline rush when a deer is within thirty yards of your treestand. You must sit still and move slow, otherwise they will spot you quick. A doe gets me excited but a big rack buck gets a ton of people excited. Many…

Archers could shoot more quickly and accurately than a man armed with an arquebus with more penetrating power in the beginning. By the later Middle Ages though, arquebus had developed larger bores and the price per weapon decreased till it cost the same as a quality bow. When compounded with lack of training needed to utilize the weapon, it offered a compelling package.…
