Project management
Project management has been defined as the application of processes, methods, knowledge, skills and experience to achieve the project objectives. Included in this is processes such as a SWOT analysis, a critical path analysis, risk management, time management, delegation and a Gantt chart.
The project which we have undertaken is starting up a small restaurant. This will involve incorporating all the above actions from project management to start up the business successfully

- Improved reputation: good time management will lead to an improved reputation to consumers and suppliers. This can help improve credit and debt problems.

Delegation
Delegation is the process of assigning work to subordinates; it is related to the management skill of leadership as it is the manager who delegates work to others. Delegation is an important part of project management as tasks will be carried out more efficiently and there will be less confusion around who is carrying out what task.
Delegation is important in business as:
1. A high standard of work and efficiency is carried out.
2. Motivation of employees is increased as you are empowering them, this will make the working environment more friendly and absenteeism will be reduced.
3. Management will not be overloaded therefore stress is eliminated and better decisions can be made.
4. Time will be freed up.
