Creativity In Pi's Journey '

Creatvity is an important part of a story because it makes the description of the novel better and it enhances the discription of the story to make it become a more talented novel. “Life of Pi” Pi meets his physical, emotional, and spiritual needs by using his creatvity to solve problems.
Throughout Pi’s Journey he figures out physical ways to survive by being very creative. One creative thing he did was when Pi uses a lid of a bench that had a hook on it that was about an inch long. He uses this for a bottle cap opener: “ The lid was hinged an inch or so from the edge of the bow bench whitch meant that as the lid opened, it became a barrier that closed off the twelve inches of open space between tarpaulin and bench through witch Richard Parker could get to me after pushing aside the life jackets” ( Yann Martel 141). By Pi using this little hook on the lid of the bench shows how creative Pi is when he is on the life boat and how he meets his standards of his physical needs. Another way he shows that he is creative is when he had a can of liquid and he hd nothing to open the can with intill : “ The tarpualin hooks. I kneeled on the bench and leaned over. Holding the can with both of my hands, I sharply brought it up againts a hook. Dinting, I manged the trick. A pearl of water appeared” ( Yann Martel 142). Through Pi’s
One way he fix’s his emotional thoughts was when he was feeling very emotional so he came up with a dream rag : “One of my favoirte methods of escape was what amounts to gentale asphyxiation. I used a peice of cloth that I cut from the remnats of a blanket” ( Yann Martel 236).
