7th Grade You’re the best thing there is.
Wherever you go, people talk about you, especially the cute female ones. In order to facilitate this, you sit alone at lunch, straining to hear your name in the din around you. You’re shy, only speaking when spoken to and moving unobtrusively, but you know people notice you. How could they not? The desolate landscape was broken only twice by the two opposing armies, though only one truly deserves the title. One consisted only of a half dozen heavy cavalry, while the other had line after line of pikemen, light cavalry, archers, and common infantrymen. You, clad in heavy plate armor over ringmail and a studded jerkin, urged your horse forward a few paces before turning to address your friends. “Friends, though I was once a loyal subject of our friends yonder you took me in a sheltered me when I defected. For that I thank you, but now our eternal foe has come to fetter us all. And so we must fight to remain free of It’s tyranny” You turned back to your former master and drew your sword, basking in the glorious sound of oiled steel hissing on leather. More and more figures emerged out of the green holding different weapons, some great spears which were so sharp they could pierce to the sky and behind the figures were gargantuan men. The military soon heard of the figures, and responded by sending two of their elite units of fighters, and they also had the legendary Invictus on standby. Invictus was particularly well known amongst the citizens of Nyeth Alari, for it was one of last golden age relics that could be used. It was made of technology lost to this world, a spectacular blend of magic and modern day artillery. Invictus was a suit of armour which was colossal in height and mass, but despite its mass, it moved extraordinarily fast – it could even fly, and when it did, blue light radiated from its feet similar to the sword the figure was holding. When you entered the cockpit of the armour, it was full of hovering screens of light, displaying data which was unreadable amongst the commoners. Its external appearance was like a suit of armour but plated in hard dull metal (iron) sprayed in worn out white paint.…
