"Creative" play can be just as important in childhood development as "Structured" play as it invokes the child to use their imagination. As stated at the end of paragraph 2 in the passage "Helping Children Play Creatively," as children use their imaginations, they also develop critical thinking and problem solving skills.
Not only does "Creative" play help kids learn as they play by using their imagination, but experts also agree that children develop social skills through creative group play called "executive functioning
