Creative Curriculum Analysis

The Creative Curriculum, objectives of learning and development are broken down into nine different objectives.These nine objectives are broken down into two different groups, which the first group covers the areas of “children’s growth and development (Heroman, Burts, Berke, Bickart, 2010).” Those four areas that make this group up are; social- emotional, physical, language and cognitive. The second group is focused “upon content learning which is viewed as outcome in early learning standards (Heroman, Burts, Berke, Bickart, 2010).” This group is made up of “Literacy, Mathematics, Science and Technology, Social Studies and The Arts (Heroman, Burts, Berke, Bickart, 2010).” These objectives show all areas of development and learning; they give you a comprehensive picture of the whole child’s development and learning (Heroman, Burts, Berke, Bickart, 2010).” Therefore, when looking at these objectives, they …show more content…
And states exactly with detail what the student is suppose to do. The teaching sequence is aligned with a certain objective and that objective provides the teacher with an assessment chart that has all the requirements for that goal. The assessment chart states very detailed expectations for the students by their age groups and their development. The assessment chart can be completed by stating if the child as meet that requirement or not meet the requirement. Therefore making it easy for the teacher to see what areas the student is struggling with and how she or he could help the student acquire that goal. Along with the assessment chart the objectives provide teachers with clear strategies to help the student meet their goals for that objective. Although all nine of these objectives are broken down into two groups, they are all assessed the same way and that is by observation and based on the assessment chart provided for each
