Craig Mezey Case
I am writing to dispute/remove a billing error in the amount on the account 36224* with The Bank of the West. This account is not my account. The account 34224, the Bank of the West was opened by Mr. Craig L. Mezey on March 1st, 2006. Craig L. Mezey opened this account/loan for a purchase a Recreational Merchandise “2005 Sea Hunt 202.” The boat was registered on his (Craig L. Mezey) name. On January 03, 2016, I sent a certified letter and asked the Bank to correct this account. Also, I contacted The Bank of the West via phone, we had a conversation with Mrs. Latisha (the Bank of the West recorded our phone conversation), and sent all documents to correct this account. Bank ignored my letter(s).
• The Bank of the West had 266 days to notify me about the delinquency and the deficiency of Craig L. Mezey’s account.
• The Bank of the West had 120 days to notified me that the boat was going to be sold off/at public or private sale.
• The Bank of the West had all my information, time, and legal documents to resolve the situation without damaging my life. The Bank never had an attempt to resolve, nor to provide this information under the Data Protection Act 1998.
• I understand that the bank was required to reply on my first request (January 03, 2017) within 40 days. I understand the Bank of the West ignored my rights. 0n May 24, 2017, I received the first letter from the Bank of the West. The Bank of the West sent me the EXPLANATION OF DEFICIENCE AND DEMAND FOR PAYMENT. According the letter, I must to pay a remaining balance of 9, 546. 53 (nine thousand five hundred forty-six dollars and fifty-three

The Golden Key Credit Card Company Ltd. (GKCCCL) collapsed over four years ago, around December 2008. Before its collapse the board of directors including Chairman Lalith Kotelawala had promised the depositors that they would be paying 100% of their deposited amounts. Without any money being paid till 2009, despite Lalith Kotelawala personally promising over 7,000 depositors on 23 December 2008 that the company would pay back the money within three months, Golden Key Depositors' Society (GKDS) was formed and filed a Fundamental Rights case in the Supreme Court on 17 March 2009. On 30 March, the Supreme Court admitted that there had been a breach of fundamental rights of the depositors and decided that the board of directors including Lalith Kotelawala were responsible for theft.
