CPRTRAINING/FIRSTAID
CLASS/ELECTIVE

Dear Mr. Schilling,

A elective that I think should be available for juniors and seniors next year is a
CPRTraining Class. I think this class would be very beneficial and efficient to out body of students. A CPRTraining/FirstAid class could open up a tremendous amount of opportunities and ideas for young students seeking a career. Also, it’s just great in general to know how to care for someone in immediate situations. Therefore, I have came up with 3 reasons on why we should have this class and if there were any objections, how I would get past them. My first reason why I think we should have this is because it could provide someone with the opportunity to save someone’s life. Saving someone’s life means a lot. Not only will you be portrayed as a hero by witnesses, but more people will come to respect you as a person. It brings out satisfactory qualities about yourself. In addition to this, I would also like to say that it could bring people a sense of joy and a boost in their selfconfidence. Saving someone’s life could raise a person’s ego greatly and could benefit them greatly.

My second point is that the death rate could drop dramatically. According to the
American Heart Association
, if people began to take this class, the survival rate could double or even triple. I strongly agree with this because I think it’s kind of logical. If more people knew how to control emergency situations and injuries, I think less people would be in severe, lifethreatening positions. Therefore, more people could live longer. My last argument is that some jobs require certification in CPR or FirstAid.
Having an elective/class in this could make it easier for you later in life when you prepare to get certified later. How? Well basically you’ll be preprepared. You will have early high school handson experience and

I have a very small group of people that I go to for advice because I usually try to figure things out on my own. One person I would always go to for advice was my high school counselor, Mr. Menchaca. He was the one who helped me figure out I want to go into a career that helps people and he was the one who helped me with what classes to take I in order to get to where I want to be. I still don’t know anyone who is in that field but I am trying to find someone who is that will help guide me to be a paramedic with knowledge and experience that they have had to obtain in order to be where they are. Once I make that friend I think everything will be much easier for me to accomplish because they can tell me what exactly they did to become a paramedic and help me out with how the interview works and so forth.…

From past experiences I have learned the real meaning of respect. This word is more powerful than one can imagine. With respect comes unselfishness. When people respect others, they are treated equally. My mother and father always told me to be tactful in the way I treated others, so I would also be respected. It has worked in the past and will always hold true in the future. If someone respects another with proper judgment, people feel good inside which gives them a sense of integrity. When I give respect and witness how it makes others feel, I feel like more of a person. I feel proud. Honored.…

Respect. We would all love for people to treat us the same way that we treat them. Some people do not realize that what they say or what they do can really hurt someone, or possibly have a negative impact on them for the rest of their lives. I always say be cautious, and always stay wise to the actions you take, especially when it comes to someones feelings. You never know what someone could be going through in their life, so sometimes it is always better to be kinder to one another.…

A fun class that I would love to take just for fun would have to be COMM 2060 - small group communication. Because I hold seats on several executive boards here at ULM this class would be beneficial to how I conduct meetings, events, and brining in new ideas for the organization. With this I love that we would be able to see thing in an out-of-the-box view point and everything would not be one sided and only pulled to the point of view of one person.…

    Essay On First Aid

First Aid is the medical care given to an ill or injured person before the arrival of professional responders. First aid is basic medical care given to an ill or injured person by a non-professional in an emergency. What is interesting is the purpose of first aid; to prevent further harm - for example, if someone has collapsed in the middle of a road where they might not be seen, you want to make sure that they won't get hit by a car too. To preserve life - so to prevent them deteriorating, this is pretty much the point of CPR, just to stop things worsening until someone more qualified can take over. To promote rescue - sometimes, first aid can be the only care needed, for example, for a small cut, and everything done to ensure it recovers is done by the first aided…
