Night began to fall and Kino heard footsteps, Kino peered out of the cave and saw the trackers huddled around the small pool. Kino crawled back into the cave. For hours kino did not hear anything, after a while he peered out to see the three trackers, two asleep and the other keeping watch with the rifle in his hand. Coyotito Walked Home to the brush hut to smell the cornbread baking. He walked in and saw his mother baking corn cakes. Over dinner juana hand coyotito a small item wrapped in old cloth she said “this is from your father.” Coyotito looked up and took the small wrapped item. He looked at it for a while before opening it. He took of the layer of cloth, and picked up a large pearl, the biggest pearl coyotito has ever seen.
