Covenant Christian High School Essay

For over forty years, Covenant Christian High School has stood firm to the belief that children should be raised in the solid doctrine of the Word of God. Founded upon the love of Christ, Covenant aims to ignite the fire in its students’ hearts and bring about a new way of education centered around Christ. Covenant Christian High School represents the body of fellowship within its walls from both teachers and students, the sports, the challenge of its classes, and the effects on the lives of the students outside its walls. Sports are an integral part of Covenant Christian High School and are ever increasing in both power and popularity. Since the founding of the school, sports have played a role in building not only a name for the school, but building a strong feeling of togetherness with those who play and those who take time to watch and participate. Without sports, Covenant would be another school on the long list of schools, but through sports we set a name for this school and set a standard on which we may be followed. Having a strong sports section is not possible without the background holding it together. On the sidelines come the classes and curriculum, with Covenant’s being one of the harder scales to climb. Mr. James Haveman once said to me that if Covenant’s grading scale was the same as other schools, every person in Covenant
From sports to school, Covenant has a wide variety of which the students hold to different standard. Throughout all activities, Covenant serves one goal: to glorify God on all behalfs. If I have learned anything from my four years of experience here at Covenant Christian High School, it is the knowledge that life is difficult and sometimes rough, but through Christ all sorrows and trials are cast away by his sacrifice
