Courage to Stand Again

Life isn’t easy road to take in everyday of our lives. It is a constant journey where in this world seems unexpected things yet its real sometimes happening around us. The sufferings and pain became a part of human experiences that couldn’t deny. Though nobody wants it, it is still man should embrace the reality of this world. But how this kind of experience will overcome it? Does a man could still hope for something new and believe firmly to a better life he will have in the future?

Jean-Maure Guyau in his Principle of Hope says, “when we hope for something grand, we draw from the beauty of the goal the courage to brave all obstacles”

The sufferings that man encountered cannot make him stop to continue his life if he has this firm hope. But the question is this: Do we have the courage to stand up again after the frightful experiences we met? Can we still keep hold on to God who is the First Cause of our hope even it seems not clear to us what we will have in our future?

Jean-Marie encourages that “we must carry on, keep seeking, keep hoping”. Life is not something we take for granted. When we are in despair and in sorrows, don’t we say that we must hope for something anew?

We are, sometimes, facing an enormous problems like experiencing typhoon and other calamities. There we see from our eyes, tears and despair and seems to have lost hope. But we must be courageously hope that we will stand up again from the dust of brokenness that we must endure in taking our lives, full of trust to the One who is Creator of all things. Is there any more hope than we recognized who is the Lord of Hope?

The fear overcomes with courage and braveness that man causes to stand up again and foresees his life as not the end of everything. For Gabriel Marcel, another philosopher, in his philosophy about hope says, “the person who hopes does not accept the current situation of as final”....
