Counselling Interview Essay
I interview Bronwyn Lucas, who is with ABLE Counseling and Consulting she is a Licensed Professional Counselor, founder of ABLE Counseling and Consulting. Ms. Lucas holds a Bachelor’s degree in Human Development/Early Childhood Education, and Master’s degrees in Special Education and Clinical Psychology. As a therapist, she is a generalist, working in a private office as well as providing home therapy for children in the foster care system. She is responsible for providing individual, group and family therapy and maintains all aspects of the practice. She stated that her “work is her passion.” She has a genuine desire to make a positive difference in the lives of individuals and families.

Lucas and Ms. Harris both provide services for children that’s in the foster care system. Ms. Lucas provides home therapy, and she provides individual, group and family therapy and maintains all aspects of her practice. Ms. Harris provides an environment where children can heal, nurturing families can develop, and where serenity and person growth are achieved.
The differences, Ms. Lucas, meet the children provide services in a private office and home therapy. Ms. Harris house children in her home, making herself available to them 24 hours a day and seven days a week.
Interviewing both ladies, I can reflect on the passion is their voices, telling me how they love what they do. Ms. Lucas adoptive her son out of foster care. MS. Harris house 3-4 teen age girls in her home. I admire both ladies, being single and willing to make a difference in a child’s life was what lead me to interview them. During my interviews, the ladies shared a mutual interest, when you focus your life helping others, your problems lose significance and fade to tranquility.
I could integrate chapter 6 into my interviews, providing direct service, behavior changer, caregiver communicator, crisis intervener, participant empowered. Working with the community, being and advocate, community and service networker, and outreach worker. (Woodside & McClam ,
