Landslides usually only occur in the Atlantic section of Costa Rica. The hurricane season for Costa Rica is from June to about November. Luckily though, Costa Rica is located where it is protected from head on hits from hurricanes.
In addition to Costa Rica, The Caribbean Coast is also a very important place for Costa Rica. The Caribbean Coast has its own microclimate. Unlike Costa Rica, there is not a real “dry season” in the Caribbean Coast. This is because it rains a lot in the Caribbean Coast, getting about 141 inches every year. In the Caribbean sea, the least amount of rain comes in February/March and September/October.
Costa Rica in general is a perfect place climate wise. There is not a lot of times where lives are threatened because of climate, or hurricanes. There is never a time where you just can’t go outside because it is raining to hard. This country is a very beautiful place to be, and everyone should have the chance to go

The rich cultural and the many amazing traits that Costa Rica had in store for us, was only a symbol of the cultural and traits that fall within our team. It seems hard to believe that a country like Costa Rica and a small college soccer team can have so much in common, but along the trip I realized that in a lot of ways, we are the same. Reading the “Ticos” book could only teach each of us so much about Costa Rica and the Ticos that live there because it only mentioned “on the surface” facts that were pretty straight forward; It wasn’t until the trip, when we were able to delve into the culture itself and really understand what the book was saying. Now, for Nicaragua, they have three different climates. Since Nicaragua is so big, it has three climates: Pacific Region, Central Highlands, and the Caribbean Region. This first region I’m about to name has an average temperature of 80℉ (27℃), has about 60 inches of rain per year, is 3,000 feet above sea level, and has lots of farms and cities. This area I just named is the Pacific Region. The Central Highlands, personal favorite. 100 inches of rain 6,913 feet above sea level, and forests and deep valleys live here. The average temperature is 60 to 70℉ (16 to 21℃). Rainforest, palm and pine forests, mainly flat, 165 inches of rain per year, and the average temperature of 80℉ (27℃)?? This is the CARIBBEAN REGION! All-in-all, that is the three climates of…
