In 2012,Miguel Cardenal, the Spain's secretary of State of Sport ,stated that Madrid will continue to bid for 2020 Olympic Games despite the European Debt Crisis. In fact, Spain has lost three opportunities for hosting the Olympics and expects to boost their floundering economy as well as providing more employment position through conducting the Olympics. The value of hosting Olympics has been extolled loudly by the candidate host country. Does holding the Olympic Games really bring benefits for the host country? It may be stated that hosting Olympics may increase the expenditure of host country and jeopardize local people's security. However, the majority of the previous host countries assert that the benefits of conducting Olympic Games outweigh the risks . Personally,it could enhance local infrastructure ,spur the economy and bring the host country into eminence. From an enlighten point of view, the direct benefit brought by Olympic Games is that the local sport facilities of host country can be improved. The host country is required to set up a large new stadium meeting the international standard as the uppermost playing field for competition as well as the opening or closing ceremony.Besides that, most of the competition terrains required refurbishment be also emerged as brand new features.Opponents claim angrily that the aim to construct new sport facilities and infrastructure may be only for olympics, rather than for public. It can make sense for the angry tax-players that they pay the tax lawfully but can not feast the benefit that tax has brought. However,it should be pointed out that building new infrastructure not only meet the demand of olympics temporarily but also satisfy personal interests permanently. As a matter of fact, there are many appended projects built for olympics in almost former host countries, such as the parks, the overhaul of the city's transport systems, not merely the main stadium and competition fields. In this way, every citizen have the right to feast these benefits brought by olympics.More to this point, most of sport facilities are also regarded as valuable heritages and conserve down permanently, which means residents may make use of them freely and conveniently. Some people may argue in intense that money spent in constructing the infrastructure of Olympics can used to deal with many other social issues. There is no doubt that the cost of that is relatively high. However, according to Coralyn Smith(2010), these infrastructure like legacy for hosting nations will be opened and operated for years after the event is over. Most of these facilities can be rented for activities in terms of ceremony and football competition, for making profits. It means that there is a consistent cash flow for government to spread the cost brought from these infrastructure. From a long term standpoint, government can use these incomes to solve other social issues as long as keep on cash flow. For these reasons,it should not be denied that enhancing local infrastructure can really benefit the host country ,either for government or for city dwellers. Another main benefit of hosting Olympics is to spur the stagnant economy of hosting nations. As is known, Olympic competitions bring a host of people, including athletes, journalists and audiences as well as the non-native travelers all over the world to the host country. This indicates that there is a large market for satisfying the need of these people in multifarious aspects of living and an inflow of cash brought by these people will recycle frequently in host country. Originally, an excess of demand over supply will lead to more employment positions supplied. According to the homepage of Official London 2012 website (2012):

With London 2012, there are all sorts of job opportunities for all sorts of people, including those currently out of work and students. More than 100,000 people will be paid to work on the Games, all of them with different backgrounds, skills and...
