Porcelain Veneers

Porcelain veneers are thin porcelain shells that are bonded to the front of your teeth. Veneers hide anything from tetracycline stains to major chips and cracks. If you are scared or anxious, we offer sedation dentistry to help you relax. Nitrous oxide, or inhalation sedation, is administered through a mask placed over your nose. The nitrous oxide gas is mixed with oxygen, so we can adjust the level of sedation to match your needs. Inhaled sedation wears off almost immediately, so you will most likely be able to drive yourself home.
With oral conscious sedation, you take a pill a few hours before your appointment. This is a heavier form of sedation, but you will still be awake during your procedure. The effects of oral sedation are more long-lasting, so you will need to arrange for a ride to and from your dental appointment.
Both methods produce feelings of calm and relaxation, and make the time pass more quickly. Sedatives also have amnesic effects, meaning that you will remember little or nothing after the procedure.

The screws serve as a stable foundation for dental crowns, bridges, or dentures. Implant-supported replacement teeth look and function just like the real thing. They also restore almost 100% of your chewing ability, and prevent bone loss.
Restorations

If you can’t eat properly because of badly decayed teeth or painful gums, your Avon dentist may recommend a root canal, fillings, crowns, or gum disease treatment. Root canal therapy is the removal of the infected pulp in the center of the tooth. The area is then cleaned and sealed off, and a dental crown is placed on top.

Thank God for braces. After eight years of an oppressive overbite, my teeth were at a loss, with no end in sight. Old thumb-sucking habits over-crowded or spaced out some teeth. Gaps and crooked teeth made me afraid to socialize for fear of people seeing this monstrosity, so I stopped smiling. My parents prodded me to say “cheese” in pictures, but my smile looked more painful than pleasant. My hopes of having nice teeth darkened, but my teeth relentlessly yearned for one to rescue them from their distress.…
