What makes a hero? is a hero someone who runs into a burning structure to save someone or is a hero someone who simply commits an act of kindness? Is a hero someone who travels across the globe to defend our freedom?. A hero cannot be defined or narrowed down to one single person.On September,11th,2001 FDNY Ladder Company 3 responded to the world trade center no one knew they would never be seen again. Actor Tom hanks defines a hero by “someone who voluntarily walks into the unknown”. In my life there is only one person who is a hero i would like to share a-bit of my life and define this person who best fits the description of hero my uncle: Cory Hogan.

He rushed in kicking down every door in his way and searching the whole house. After constant searching himself and several others dragged out someone. After the incident his gear was burned beyond the glass fiber fabric and down to the woolen fabric. My uncle has no regrets in his words he would rather save someone and risk his own life that stand there and do nothing but watch someone die. He knows the risks but yet he returns...he returns to serve and protect .This is the person i strive to become in the future.

A hero is someone who leaves thier family when there’s a possibility they will never see them again.
