Correctional Officer Application Essay
The opportunity to present my application to you for consideration enthuses me. The position I desire to apply for is the correctional officer position, in Meridian, Minnesota as posted on Indeed.com, on March 10, 2016.
I recently completed my Associates in Criminal Justice and am extremely interested in putting the knowledge that I acquired to work within the Department of Corrections. I realize I have not had much recent work experience however, I have ensured that I have developed various skills during my lapse of work. As a caregiver and homemaker returning to the workforce, I have gained an immeasurable amount of knowledge in many areas. Which is why I believe I can offer numerous benefits to the corrections department and the inmates.

    Columbus County has become my home for the past three years. During my exploration of Columbus County I chose to ask Michael Brown, Mark Howard, Christina Perdue; MD, Dr. Kevin Bratton; Ph.D., and Addie Mae Haley. Kevin Bratton; PhD, is one of our deans here at Southeastern Community College, and an awesome instructor. Dr. Bratton responded to my email on January 31st. And finally, the best for last, Addie Mae Haley, she worked in Blueberry and Tobacco fields when she was young, and after she was married she became a domesticated house wife.
