Cordier Case Study
Per Reporter: Cordier had been living with Anita (paternal grandmother) since being a baby. Anita never received custody of Cordier because she didn’t want to get Jakala in trouble. Anita expired 2/21/7; once Anita became ill Cordier began living with Nakita (paternal aunt) and family. Cordier stayed with Nakita the entire Summer 2017 and weeks after school started. While in Nakita’s care Jakala did not provide anything for him. Jakala became angry with Nakita because she asked her to care for Cordier while she went out of town. Without Nakita being aware, Jakala dropped Cordier off at Keosha’s (maternal aunt) home. School officials sent a letter to Nakita’s home stating that Cordier had missed 5 days at the time from school. Jakala enrolled
