Copper: Proton, Neutron, And Electron
There are three main components that make up the atom copper; proton, neutron, and electrons. The neutron and the proton make the nucleus, that has a positive charge from the protons. The electrons have a negative charge and it orbits around the nucleus. The protons and electrons attract to each other because they are opposites. How many electrons are there in the copper atom, and why that particular number? There are 29 electrons in the copper atom because since the atom doesn't have a charge the electron number is the same as the proton number. The first shell around the nucleus has two electrons, the second shell has 8 electrons. The third shell has 8 electrons and the fourth shell has 2 electrons. How many stable copper isotopes should
