There is a big influence of technique on our daily life. Electronic devices, multimedia and computers are things we have to deal with everyday. Especially the Internet is becoming more and more important for nearly everybody as it is one of the newest and most forward-looking media and surely “the” medium of the future Therefore it would be necessary to think about some good and bad aspects of how this medium influences us, what impacts it has on our social behaviour and what the future will look like. (Markus Temmel, Martina Theuermann, Eva Ukowitz, Tanja Vogrin) It explains that the internet has become a big part of our lives as the devices that we deal with daily are able to access the web easily. The internet can be seen a effective medium in communication and allows information to be transmitted globally in a matter of seconds, this has made the society better off by forming large networks across the globe, increasing the connectivity among people, thriving economic activity and political arena as well. It is evident that with the existent of internet, it has benefited both private and corporate indivudual. However, it is also critical to examine the detrimental effects of the internet to assess if it is a double-edged sword.
As the world progresses, the invention of the internet has become an effective tool in creating a global village with increasing connectivity among the human race. This has results in a shrinking world. Firstly, there is easy access to information, increasing people's consciousness of the world. For e.g. someone who would like to get more information on Europe can easily obtain the information off the internet with a few mouse clicks. They do not have to travel the geographical distance to gain an good understanding of the country. However, one may say that there is information overload since everyone are able to contribute freely to sites like wikipedia that is shared across the world. In this case there might be limited...
