It is quite obvious and clear that our managers at Tammy Limited has to be more orient and acknowledge regarding of consumer behavior theory, so that my main task is to educated them what is the nature and essence of consumer behavior theory is.
The definition of consumer behavior is "The study of individuals, groups, or organizations and the processes they use to select and choose, like, dislike, secure, use, and dispose of products, services, experiences, or ideas to satisfy individual or organizational needs as well as requirements and the impacts or effects that these processes have on the consumer and their society." Although it is not necessary to memorize this definition, it brings up some useful points:
Behavior occurs either for the individual, or in the context of a group (e.g., friends’ influence what kinds of clothes a person wears) or an organization and (people on the job make decisions as to which products the firm should use).
Consumer behavior involves the use and disposal of products as well as the study of how they are purchased. Product use is often of great interest to the marketer, because this may influence how a product is best positioned in other words displayed or how we can encourage increased consumption indeed purchasing. Since many environmental problems result from products sale increasing or decreasing (e.g., in winter season wind proof and rain proof warm clothes, how they will display. As for the workshop instruction, they should be display near entrance because customers are coming in from outside weather which is cold and in their mind when they saw warm clothing section they immediately remember to look up or browse to buy. That will be the big selling point to increase significantly) this display technique should also an area of interest that our managers should be concentrated in.
Consumer behavior also involves significantly in our services and ideas as well as tangible products.
