Warrant: This is true because the president wants to spend money on fixing the infrastructure but it may not be enough.
Evidence: President Obama’s State of the Union address called for $500 billion divided to each state to try and repair and improve our national infrastructure. in florida alone The President’s plan includes $50 billion in immediate investments for highways, transit, rail and aviation, helping to modernize an infrastructure that now receives a grade of “D” from the American Society of Civil Engineers and putting hundreds of thousands of construction workers back on the job.
The Society of Civil Engineers (Failure to Act Studies) gives its price tag for restoring a first-world infrastructure. It would take $1.7T to correct our current infrastructure deficit and an extra $160 billion a year – or $1.1T — to meet our infrastructure needs through 2020.
Impact: This is import because even with $50 billion there would still be need of more money, money that america doesn't have.
2. Reason (Claim): Compared to other countries the status of our infrastructure isn't that bad.
Warrant: This is true because out of 195 countries we are 14 in infrastructure.
