Conflict Analysis Part 1

1a. Who was involved in the conflict? What was the relationship between the participants prior to the conflict? Did it appear as if the relationship between the participants had any impact on how either person responded to the conflict?

At my previous work, I have witness many conflict between customer and tenants. An example would be a customer had arguing with a phone career store employee because their monthly bill was a lot more than what was told to them. The reason it was more because customer was not getting the 15% off on their bill which was provided from his company. Employee try to explain the customer it could take up to 3 months to 15% discount to kick in the bill until than they can’t do much. But the customer was not satisfying with there answer he want to cancel the new plan which he opened it little over month ago and denied to pay termination fee. I can see how employee was getting frustrated from this customer. All I can tell customer was not happy with the service. Employee hands are tie even if he wants to help this customer he can not help him. Only solution they can come up is to talk to customer service on the phone and see if they can cancel the plan without any plenty.

1b. When and where did it take place? Was it formal or informal? Planned or unplanned? What impact did the location and time have on the outcome?

When: 2/25/13 Where: At work The communication was formal because the store employee kept the communication professional and point to point. The conflict was unplanned between customer and the tenant. The outcome of the conflict was to have customer call customer service to solve his issue. Although because of this conflict the tenant was not happy because he lost many customers during the time of conflict.

1c. What transpired? (be specific)

Conflict between customer and tenant happened because customer was

Studying conflict analysis and resolution for the past three years taught me that policy is one of the most effective ways to create concrete change in today’s society. Policy is documented and recognized by the government. As I study the prison system in my honors criminology class and dissect the Black Lives Matter movement in my organizational conflict class, I am trying to understand why the government ignores the faults in our justice system when there is an evident need for transformation. The UCPPIA Law Fellowship at UC Berkeley will prepare my mind to think in both contexts.…

While human beings bring their traits to work, every organization is different, and every job within the organization is also different. According to the interactionist perspective, behavior is a function of the person and the situation interacting with each other. Companies are interested in assessing at least two types of fit. Person–organization fit refers to the degree to which a person’s values, personality, goals, and other characteristics match those of the organization. Person–job fit is the degree to which a person’s skill, knowledge, abilities, and other characteristics match the job demands.…
