This is due to the parents of youth football players and the American publics refusal to make changes to the safety regulations to protect players at all levels. The publics ignorance has led to tragic accidents like happened to kids like Zackery Lystedt which could have been prevented if concussions were viewed as more of medical trauma and less as a part of the game.
