The JD Group Limited which is also known as “JDG” headquartered in Braamfontein, South Africais a public company that is listed on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange (JD Group, 2011).Company Spotlight (2012) explains that based in South Africa., the JD Group was established by David Israel Sussman in 1981 September 18th and is a mass consumer financer(Banking Business Review, 2010). The JD Group has a total of eleven brands operating through 1, 033 stores across South Africa, with one brand in Poland which is operating through 62 stores. The JD Group’s business divisions are divided into five operating facets namely; New Business Development, Financial Services, Cash Retail, Traditional Retail and International Retail(Banking Business Review, 2010). The Group’s auxiliaries comprise of Courts Megastore (Pty) Ltd, JD Group Asset Financing (Pty) Ltd, JDG Trading (Pty) Ltd, Connection Group Holdings (Pty) Ltd, JD Group
