My goal in my classroom is to set a standard of excellence within the room and to commit myself to the growth and development of each child in offering a positive, kind, loving, and safe atmosphere. I have respect, not only for myself but, for my class, each child, and their families. I keep all parental information shared with me confidential. I also uphold all health and safety regulations and make children's well-being my top priority. I also respect family diversity. This includes but is not limited to cultural differences, orientation, or economic status. I encourage individuality in children. I treat each child with respect and help them to build a positive self- image. Being informed is being ready to assist any child with any need they may have. I feel it is important to always stay positive and keep a smile on my face. Stay on top of new regulations for the school as well as updated laws and other developments within early childhood education; Always making sure to have information to help parents that have children with additional needs. I feel I am a kind and loving person and am genuinely concerned about the growth and development of each child entering in the class. I Support positive self concepts and social skill all day at arrival time, children are allowed to play table toys with friend, thus being Thus being able through gestures and speech, to have social interactions. Another activity that encourages social interaction is music time. Sometimes children hold a colorful parachute handle while waving it up and down. This is a good way to learn to cooperate with peers and share materials. Another social activity is out door at the park. The children learn how to take turns eon swings and slides, and they can use their imagination to play fun games together which helps them practice decision making (such as who will be the mommy, who will be tagged etc). They can observe each other at play and imitate each other or movements in order to learn a new skill, such as sliding down the pole.…

In order to establish and maintain a safe, healthy learning environment I first begin with providing a clean and organized classroom. All toys and equipment are sanitized on a daily basis, all outlets are covered and all fixtures are mounted to the walls to prevent from tipping over. Upon entering the classroom every parent is required to sign a daily health check in which the teacher and the parent both assess the health of each child. Healthy meals and snacks are provided to each and every child, keeping in mind, the allergies that each child has. Medicines are also carried for each student that requires it on a daily basis. The classroom tables are wiped down and sanitized and the floor is swept after each meal. The children also brush their teeth after meals to help the children gain healthy brushing habits. The teacher child ratio is maintained at all times.…

It is important to maintain a safe environment for students inside and outside of the classroom. My goal is to make sure that the children understand what being safe is. I make sure that they know how to play safe. All of the toys and the materials that the children use are safe. I make sure that there are no broken toys that may harm them around. The children along with me create the class rules. I make sure that the outlet plugs are in place and that the cabinets are secure. The children follow the classroom rules. I make sure that I supervise the children at all times. I also make sure that I observe the areas where they play, work, and eat. I make sure that shoes are tied. I make sure that the children use walking feet when we walk down the halls and in the classroom. When we transition to go outside we have to cross over an area where the cars drive. We make sure that we stop, look, and listen for cars and put out caution cones before we go to the playground. I also check the playground for sticks, trash, glass or any other items that can cause harm. I am also CPR certified so I know the procedure to help a child or adult in need. We have emergency plans displayed in the classroom. The children are aware of what to do in the case of emergency such as a fire. We make sure that the windows and the doors are secure at the end of the day.…

As a preschool teacher I support my children’s physical development by playing an indoor game such as leap frog. Where my children stand in a line and the first person in the line ducks down on the knees like a dog and the second child in line leaps over like a frog. The children continue to do this until the first who gets to the finish line. The children enjoy this physical activity very much. This activity is perfect when the weather outside is not so good. When the entire class is playing together and making a good team, is when I know that this activity is a keeper. When the weather is good and sunny outside I love the game tag! This physical activity absolutely promotes energy and gives the children a reason to run with laughter and excitement.…
