Competency Goal III
To support social and emotional development and to provide positive guidance
Functional Area 8: Self
To support social and emotional development and to provide positive guidance I provide a positive relationships through daily interactions of warm, loving, consistent care. I feel through this kind of care, children learn trust and security.
I ensure that I am always available when the children have to separate from their parents, when they are tired, when they fall and hurt themselves, when they want to play or when they just need to be comforted or hugged. I ensure their needs are always met promptly.
Each and every morning I greet each child with a smile and a "Good Morning" followed by his/her name. This makes
