You only live once tells me to live in the present and to strive hard for my dream. There is no second chance to live again, so I do not want to regret my life. Dream big and live strong is the ideal way to live. For example, running for officers for any club is not something scary. I learned to not be afraid to lose and just give it a try, otherwise I will not even have a chance to get a position.

As an early childhood professional, it is my responsibility to establish positive and productive relationships with the families of the children I care for. Since the parents entrust the wellbeing of their children to me, it is important that they feel as though they are not only an active part of their children’s lives when away, but also an active member in the development of their child. In order to be successful at this, I will maintain an open, friendly, and cooperative relationship with each child's family. By inviting the parents to visit and volunteer as often of possible, I will be able to build a trusting relationship. This type of relationship both encourages the child’s relationship with their family, and my relationship with the family.…

It is essential to the growth and development of every child to advance their physical and intellectual needs. There are numerous ways to encourage this type of development. I offer a variety of activities that promote the advancement of the physical and intellectual competence of the children in my care. Children are encouraged to participate in daily large motor activities to enhance physical development. I do this by being very enthusiastic and even joining in with the children at play. Outside we play tag, ball, hopscotch, and other made up games. Inside we play parachute, and beanbag toss. I also communicate with the children and their parents about the importance of being physically active. In class we have discussions, and I send newsletters home to parents with ideas for activities. Children in my classroom get plenty of time for large motor activities and know why they are important to their health.…

To maintain a commitment to professionalism dedication is the key to success. I dedicate myself to my job by going online to research what I will put in my lesson plans such as arts & crafts, songs and sensory projects. This includes printing out an activity descriptor and pictures that go with the art work the infant/toddler has done. I also like to take a lot of pictures of what we are doing in the classroom especially showing the infants and toddler working on art projects to have it displayed on my board.…

To reduce injury I always use the saying if you can predict something might happen then prevent it before. Children do not understand that there are dangers all around them, whether its the toys they play with, other kids and their belonging or the equipment that they play on. The important goals that I have are always to put the children's safety, happiness and their needs first. The best way for me to follow through on this is to make sure I keep close supervision on all children at all times. I do a complete check of the area where children are to be playing every day before children come into my room. This means that I check everything…
