Comparison Of Donald Trump And The Statue Of Liberty
During Donald Trump presidential campaign, he has insulted Latinos, Muslims, women, and people-of-color. He was also caught bragging about sexual assault and mocked a disabled reporter. But Trump shockingly won the presidency. He won states like Wisconsin, Michigan, and Pennsylvania, which had been a Democratic stronghold. Donald Trump beliefs are absurd and the exact opposite of what is the Statue of Liberty.

On June 16th at his very own Trump Tower in New York City, Donald Trump announced that he would be running for president. It was only thirty seconds into his speech when Trump committed his first fallacy. In an attempt to insult the intelligence of his fellow GOP candidates, he compared their incompetence toward air conditioners to their supposed inability to beat ISIS. “They didn’t know the air-conditioner didn’t work,” “How are they going to beat ISIS?” This is a bad example fallacy due to his use of an example that fails to prove the conclusion and has little connection to it. Despite the complete lack of relation between Trump’s example and his conclusion, he was still able to provoke the audience into feelings of contempt toward the other…

Granted, Donald Trump can have a bigmouth, but nonetheless he still considered equality. For King Arthur, equality meant that no one was superior, especially at the round table. “Arthur wished for his chosen knights to sit round a round table, so that nobody would be superior.” (King Arthur Biography). Also, morality has changed greatly throughout the years and we are more accepting of LGBTs (lesbians, gays, bisexuals, and transgender), especially in marriage. Donald Trump believes that people shouldn’t be fired or not hired just because of who they are, but believes that marriage should be between a man and a woman. “Angelo said, ‘It’s a complicated relationship that Trump has with the LGBT community, but if ever there was a group that can be said to have had a warm relationship with Trump, it’s LGBT individuals.’…

On June 16, 2015, in the extravagant Trump Tower of New York City, Donald John Trump announced his candidacy for the 2016 presidency. While most Americans raised their eyebrows in bewilderment, comedians erupted in a dance that Happy Feet would envy. His bombastic personality, amorphous hair, and poorly photographed facial expressions have become some of the most popular political punchlines. Critics dissect his statements and possible solutions until they seem unrealistic, and some are, like building a “YUGGEEE” wall to separate America and Mexico. Martin Luther King had one statement that people connected with the African American people, the punch line stated, “I have a dream.” Not relating the two people because they are very different and all Americans unlike Trump hold King to the highest integrity. That being said, they are and were both prominent figures in society. Both prominent speakers had a message that they used to define their makeup. Trump has used his own rhetoric to the same effect and connects himself with the voters. Trump has used distinct message, which is “Make America Great Again.” During his campaign so far Trump has used, the language of the people. Malansky states, “Trump has a clear narrative, a master story that he sticks to”. He also goes on to say “He speaks…

But what really stands out to make The real estate mogul different from the presidents in history? Throughout his campaign he has produced a straightforward rhetoric often viewed as offensive and laid a platform where minorities may feel threatened. He's promised to build walls and to lay down strict immigration policies. Much of this appeals to the common working class person, who feels like the Obama Administration in particular did not have their back. However, Trump is one…

Donald Trump won his presidency over Hilary Clinton, winning the electoral vote but losing the popular vote by around 2.9 million votes. Knowing that the majority of Americans did not want Trump as President, it would make sense for Trump to handle the office with care, and work to gain the trust of the Americans who did not want him as their President. In the short 48 days since Trump has been President, it is safe to say that he does not care about the opinions of those who did not vote for him and those that did vote for him. He signs executive orders and appoints nominees without consideration. He makes every move based on his priorities, and not the rest of America.…

Since the beginning of his campaign he targeted people from certain ethnicities like Muslims; who he said should be banned from entering to U.S territory, this after all the terrorist attacks. Another ethnicity was Mexicans; who were labeled as rapists and drug dealers, this comment in particularly didn’t affected me much for the fact that nether me or my entire family has ever been related to none of “his labels” but it’s not so pleasant to heard that. He attacked woman, and disable people, I’m a woman and I have a disable niece, so definitely not my favorite. The reason why many people likes him is because he has high standards and citizens believe he would do the same for this country, he promised the famous wall that many candidates promis in every election year, he is a successful business man and people believe he can help the U.S get out from debt, and supposedly because he speaks the truth. Americans wanted something different and they had and have faith on…
