In page 117, paragraph 8, Staples said he had a very bad experience. He get into a office building in rush to turn in a deadline story to his editor and the security thought he is a burglar since he did not wear suit and tie, instead, he wore T-shirt and jeans. Personally, I had a very similar experience about clothing. I have two different jobs, one in office and one delivering pizza. One day, right after I got off from my office and then I went to delivery pizza. Since I didn't change my nice cloth, three black guys thought I was rich and robbed me with a gun. I was so scared to dead and I swore I wouldn't wear any nice cloth if I have to walk at night and special in west…

When someone deviates from their sense of self, it results in them undermining the value of the core belief and viewing the event or person that caused the dissonance more favorably. Since police killings make people feel dissonance, they are more likely to view the officers in a positive light. Another way people can deny dissonance, is by overvaluing the traits and values they have upheld in an attempt to paint themselves as a good, morally righteous person. Police are a core part of our society and most people do not want to consider that they could be corrupt. This would shake their sense of safety, their core values in society, and the sense of justice and loyalty they…

I think that sometimes police officers may have an “us versus them” attitude towards the community because maybe that particular community has a high crime rate so officers are involved with a lot of criminals, maybe more than they are with the law-abiding citizens of their communities. I could see to where that would wear on a police officer’s attitude towards the general public after awhile of being on the force.…

Hercules or Herakles is best known as the strongest of all mortals, and even stronger than many of the gods. Hercules was a demi-god which was a half god half mortal. His father was the god Zeus and his mother was a mortal woman named Alcmene. When Hera found out that her husband’s mistress was having a baby, she became very jealous and mad. She was so mad that when Hercules was born, Hera sent two snakes to kill him in his crib. However, Hercules was too strong for the snakes and strangled them before they could do so to him. When he got older, he turned into a fierce warrior and married a woman named Megara. Hera casted a spell on him that made him temporarily crazy and caused him to murder his lovely wife and their two children. Guilty and ruined, Hercules tracked down Apollo, the god of truth and healing, and asked to be punished for the crime he had done. Apollo then assigned Hercules the hardest tasks and missions in the world, the 12 labors.…
