L. M. Montgomery once stated, “… we pay a price for everything we get or take in this world….” Montgomery means that whatever a person does or gets, there will be consequences. One would agree with this sentiment. Two works of literature that exemplify this quote are Animal Farm by George Orwell and A Tale of Two Cities by Charles Dickens. Animal Farm by George Orwell shows that “we pay a price for everything we get or take in this world.” This work of literature is set on a farm called Manor Farm. One night, the animals revolt against, Mr. Jones, the farmer. Napoleon, the antagonist, takes power. When he takes power, everything goes wrong.
