I have faced many challenges in my life. The one I felt the most challenging one is when I moved to the United States from China. There are many differences between the life in these two countries. Different languages, weather, currency, culture, more and more. It was very hard for me to adopt all these differences in a short time, so I became dejected and intended to go back to China. But my father encourages me a lot that I went through all these challenges and stayed in united states. It is very important for people to having courage and find the right solution while they are facing challenges, everything will be fine when they go through them. Language was a huge problem for me when I came to the united states. That is because I was born and grew up in china and my first language is Chinese. I noticed the …show more content…
The American culture is very different from the Chinese culture. for example, there is a famous Chinese quote, “Think twice before acting.” which means people have to think carefully if their language, action is appropriate, to say it in another way is that people should not be too open. But that does not work in united states. American culture is the opposite of the Chinese culture, in american culture, people should be open. It is really important to learn and accept the american culture but it is also very hard. When I tried to accept all the culture differences, i was very uncomfortable with the culture differences. But it’s so important to accept the culture differences, all the people around are using this culture, and i have to accept these culture differences in order to better understand other people and make more friends. Because of these reasons, I pushed myself to accept the culture differences and i finally accepted. After i accepted the cultural differences, i am able to better understand and go into the American
