Compare/Contrast Essay Nickole Berrios Physical Beauty vs. Inner Beauty Beauty is not a quality that is easily defined. People have their own definitions of beauty by what they perceive. Although beauty is often referred to in its physical form, and appeals to multiple senses, for some it comes from within the mind instead of the external reality. Physical beauty and inner beauty have similarities as well as many differences. First, physical beauty is an aspect you can see. Whereas inner beauty is a concept related to the intellect and positive aspects that a person has inside. Inner beauty has internal characteristics that are often more difficult to find compared to physical beauty. Internal beauty is usually a person's personality, habits, and behavior. These types of people usually have characteristics such as humor, kindness, thoughtfulness, sympathetic, understanding, reliable, honest, loyal, and a joy to be around. The second difference is the length of each beauty. Physical beauty won’t last forever. Good looking people start becoming old over the years so the characteristics that made them pretty begin to deteriorate. Physical beauty is temporary and is not valued as much the more you get to know a person. Though both beauties are very different and sometimes not found together in the same person, when looking for love people have a tendency to focus more on the physical aspect. Forgetting and not realizing until later that so much more comes from inner beauty. In conclusion, although physical beauty and inner beauty are both important, there are many differences. One may be beautiful from the outside, but true beauty lies within the person not outside. When it comes to being practical, it is the person that you are that should matter to others not the way you look. Even though looks do count to an extent, if you have the traits of a lovable person, no looks can match up

Emerson says that appreciating small things, appreciating yourself, and appreciating others around you is life. These are the points stated by Emerson and Thoreau on how life should be for everyone.…

Physical beauty is biological. For the most part you’re either born with it, or not. Technically a person can “enhance” their worldly beauty with makeup, surgery, dieting, etc., but for the most part it’s in their genetic makeup. Inner beauty, however, is something that can always be changed if there is a desire. By setting goals and striving to be a better person you can change who you are and how you interact with people. For example, if you’re a bitter, sour person and you decide to become a kinder, more pleasant person, you will become much more attractive to others.…

Sophia Lauren once said: « Beauty is how you feel inside, and it reflects in your eyes, it is not something physical ». True beauty cannot be ephemeral, it is eternal and everlasting, and it doesn’t change its meaning according to circumstances, generations, cultures, and centuries. Beauty is anything that triggers joy and happiness. Beauty is divine; it is a breeze on an extremely hot day. Beauty is a strong friendship, a true and inspirational love. Beauty is the freedom of a hummingbird and is a healthy red apple clinging in the tree. In all those contexts, beauty takes a separate road from the physical and the concrete.…

Beauty only exists in perception, but not too many people are aware of that and judge a lot of people through the way they look and personality. I believe physical beauty can only get you so far in life, while others are so caught up in their looks and the way society views them. Inner beauty in my perception is sublime and I wish more people would look more into their peers personalities then what they wear or if they’re in today’s trends. Everything is an art, everyone has some sort of beauty, and some sort of flaw, but flaws are interesting.…

Beauty is all about what is on a person's insides. Inside beauty consists of the person's love for themselves, their love for others, and finally their personality. These characteristics help shape a beautiful person.…
