Choosing a vacation can sometimes be difficult or even overwhelming. Especially when your family can be indecisive at times, it can be so much harder. Although when we saw Hocking Hills in a brochure we knew that’s where we wanted to go. Originally, we wanted to go to North Carolina, but my parents couldn’t find any hotels. Hockings Hills had breathtaking cabins and there were lots available at low cost. So Hocking Hills is what we chose instead. Off we went, on a 2 hour and 30 min car ride to Hocking Hills. When we got there it was so beautiful I couldn’t stop running around like a chicken with it’s head cut off. I couldn’t wait to get started doing things. There was even a hot tub!…

When camping in the wilderness, most people need to set up their camp grounds, for instance they will need to set up tents and gather wood to make a fire. Another thing they will need to do is prepare food. The family will either have to bring their own food or go hunting for their food. Some people actually enjoy hunting and do not mind cooking, so for them it is part of the vacation experience. Setting up camp may take time and patience, where on the other hand, vacationing at a resort, there are maids and room service to do everything, so no one has to put in any effort while they are on their relaxing vacation. The people who stay at a resort will not have to worry about setting up a tent because there are maids who come every morning to make the beds and clean the room for the guest. Guest also do not have to pack food and cook for their family if they do not want to; they can just go to one of the ten restaurants in and around the resort. However, more important to the vacationers is the comfort level of where they will be staying.…

In my opinion, people choose these places to spend their holidays because they would like to get away from it all and have the holiday of a lifetime. For instance, those who prefer the beach will like to do some water sports, get a tan, play volleyball or do some snorkeling or diving. On the other hand, the ones that prefer the mountains will try to avoid tourists’ traps and go to somewhere off the beaten track. I think that some of the most memorable things about this holiday would be the breathtaking views, for those who enjoy taking pictures, and the peaceful environment. Maybe, if it’s a very well-known place, it can get very busy with crowds of tourists so I’d say to go out of season. It’s certainly not the kind of short break for someone looking for a busy nightlife but if you want to relax I’d certainly recommend it.…
