Since the beginning of time men and women have had relationships. Over time relationships have changed drastically. It’s hard to consider that dating has become so effortless. Some aspects of dating are the same, but just like everything else the concept of relationships has to evolve too. Relationships now lack the communication needed, the internet has changed the dating game entirely, dates occur less, and sex isn’t as meaningful compared to how relationships used to be.

When a young male is courting a woman he is pursuing her with the intentions of marrying her. There was absolutely no sex, and often no physical touch at all. The parents or someone is always to be present. This time is supposed to be strictly for them to get to know each other, and figure out if they truly want to spend the rest of their lives together. Or there’s the old fashioned pick the girl up at 8 kind of date. You pick the girl up and meet her parents, and her dad is going to give you the intimidating talk and tell you to have his daughter back at a specific time. You open the doors for her, and pay for the date. Whether it’s a spontaneous trip to the carnival, or just seeing a movie together the guy always paid. Around the 1970s the “free love “ movement started. During this time colleges started co ed dorms, and the people showed their support. Love was definitely being made during this movement. As time moved on so did our sex lives. It’s common now to see pictures of women with less clothes on tv, or in pictures. Unlike when women had to wear dresses and cover nearly all of their skin. Clothing has become less modest on everyone, and its normal to us now. Even the music uses more phrases sexually. Access to pornography is significantly easier and cheaper with access to the internet. Not only has sex evolved but so have genders.
