Compare and contrast essay Chevys vs. Fords The reason I chose this topic is because I think Chevy’s are better than Fords. The full name for Chevy is Chevrolet, but Ford does not have a full name. True enough, Ford has been around longer, but Chevy’s are more dependable. Chevy transmissions are way more reliable than the Ford transmissions. For example, a Chevy transmission will last a life time, but a Ford transmission will go out at one hundred thousand miles. I guess my thesis statement is how chevy are more dependable than Fords. Overall, the design of a Chevy truck is better than the competition. In a few tests that were proven by experts, Chevy beat Ford in all

A Chevy gets thirty eight miles to the gallon while a Ford gets thirty two miles to the gallon. These gas mileages are all based on the use of gas burning engines. Diesel burning engines are different in the miles to the gallon. The gas tanks are also bigger on some Chevys than Fords. They even give an award for the best vehicle of the year. This is called the Motor Trend Car of the Year Award. They also rate the cars with up to a five star safety rating every time a new car comes out. Even the Chevy cars are more fuel efficient than the cars that Ford produces. It seems that Ford, and Chevy are in a race to create the newest, and most improved vehicle to date. For example, Chevy comes out with an electric car; then Ford comes out with a version of an electric car. In a way, it really is just a matter of opinion to most of the car lovers out there. There will always be some sort of friction between car companies. To the consumers, though, this really does not matter to

Ford and Chevy are as American as apple pie. However, as any car fanatic knows. They are as big of rivals as the North and the South used to be. Two rival models of Ford and Chevy, in particular, is the Ford Mustang Shelby GT and the Chevy ZL1 Camaro. The Chevy Camaro and Ford Mustang are quintessential American pony cars and as such, continue to fight the war over which sport utility vehicle is the best in performance. I recently became interested in cars and the whole racing aspects of them because my best friend races once in a while. He is extremely knowledgeable and interested in cars and can tell which car is the best. Becoming a huge car fanatic like him, I have to “pick a side” and decide which car I would go with the Mustang or the Camaro. The two features that I would take in to consideration in deciding which car is better than the other one is the performance that it has to offer and the style that it resembles.…

However, Ford was not discouraged and gained fundamental insight which was that the best advertising for the car could be car racing, which was born in those years and amazed the audience. It was an exciting time up to 1901 when Ford personally drove his car in the race, taking victory, and eventually with other partners founded a second company, the Henry Ford Company which didn’t last long and Ford left due to a problem with his financial backing. Ford has suffered from many failures with his first few companies, but Ford learned a fundamental lesson from this, that it is important to have the best product, but it is equally important to have the best means to produce it and sell it. This is the secret that lies at the heart of the incredible success of his next company founded in 1903, the Ford motor company, which still is one of the leading companies in the global automotive…

Ford, GM, and Chrysler also known as the “big three” American car manufactures lost their foothold on the automobile market right when the gas crisis of 1973 occurred. The VRA only dug the American automotive industry into a deeper hole. Although the bailouts received harsh criticism, it is somewhat apparent that without them our economy would have been in a lot worse shape. GM and Chrysler together are so big that if they collapsed they would have taken the U.S economy down with them. In the late 70’s the “big three” were failing as a result of the gas crisis.…
