New Mexico is always thought of as just another desert to people, to me it is my favorite place to visit. It is actually a heartwarming place. The beautiful flat lands that spread as far as the eye can view, great mountain scenery. I will be giving you three reasons why you should consider visiting three of my favorite spots in New Mexico. Ruidoso, Pistachio land, and Las Cruces old Mesilla village are the places that anyone would fall in love with.
Ruidoso, New Mexico feels like a town that is right out of a romance novel or family movie. A little town in the mountains surrounded by wildlife and trees is where many of the locals and tourist come to gather for great food and shopping. The weather is never too cold during winter time because of the mountains that surround the town seems to protect its own little world. It can be 60 degrees in the city, but it would feel like 80. On a trip to Old Mesilla you will soon realize that their main attractions are not easily seen with the naked eye but are well hidden. The village is well known historical site and is well preserved even though they have many restaurants and bars this compact community takes pride in its heritage. The food they serve in the restaurants in the village are extremely cultural going back many generations. Old building s line the street of one lane roads that is crowded with parked cars. Every building has some historical value one being the courthouse that Billy the kid tried & sentence to hang. The old bright pink buildings stand alongside one another look like they were made out of mud and rock. The sky is always blue never a dark cloud around, from where ever you stand you can always see the mountain top.
