Compare And Contrast Donald Trump And The Public
Donald Trump Vs Public When people hear the word February, what comes to their minds; The actual month? Black history month? It’s the shortest month ever? Or Valentine’s day? The correct answer is Valentine’s day. February 14th is the day to love and cherish your significant others and love ones. However, in this day of age, February was about the beginning of the upcoming Presidential Election. RJ Matson’s February 11, 2016 Political cartoon express the highly favored Donald Trump vs the other Republican contenders in the race of Presidential Candidate. Matson’s, a Cartoonist for Roll Call and Cagle Cartoons released his cartoon just days before Valentine’s day, to add in his input about the Presidential election. Matson portrays a cartoon version of Donald Trump as Cupid, barley-clothed with a sash reading “Trump”, shooting an arrow, while in the background shows cartoon versions Ben Carson, Ted Cruz, Marco Rubio, Jeb Bush and John Kasich, with their bows and arrows all broken. In this Political Cartoon Trump is Cupid, “God of desire and love”. In classic mythology, Cupid carries two kinds of arrows, one with a sharp golden point and the other with a blunt tip of lead. A person wounded with the golden arrow will have the sensation of uncontrollable desire, while the second arrow is made to reverse the …show more content…
If Ben Carson, Ted Cruz, Marco Rubio, Jeb Bush and John Kasich did or said something inappropriate, they would get their heads chewed off. Yes, they have supporters too, but Trump is more in the public eye with all of his success in the past. Ever since this whole campaign for Presidential candidate started, Trump has said some racist, inappropriate slander that caused him to earn more votes. Believe it or not, Donald Trump actually said "I could stand in the middle of 5th Avenue and shoot somebody and I wouldn't lose voters,"

“I don't know Mr. Trump. But I've been chagrined at his antics. He ridiculed a war hero. He made mockery of a reporter's menstrual cycle. He made fun of a disabled reporter,” said Lucado in his blog. “… These were not off-line, backstage, overheard, not-to-be-repeated comments. They were publicly and intentionally…

During the presidential election, Donald Trump and Hilary Clinton, both use social media, such as Twitter and Facebook to reach all of the new voters. For example, Donald Trump uses Twitter and Facebook to put fear in the people and to gather his supporters. He has tweeted “from day one I said that I was going to build a great wall on the SOUTHERN BORDER, and much more. Stop illegal immigration. Watch Wednesday!” He uses this tactic to reach millions of people. However what many people don’t realize is that there are a lot of fake Donald Trump Twitter and Facebook account circulating. My cartoon is President Theodore Roosevelt standing in the middle of the ocean with his leg forward as he is marching, implying that he is in charge or leading something. The picture shows him leading the Naval ships in circle to claim/protect the Caribbean Island for government purposes. Roosevelt was quoted for his analogy of, “Speak softly and carry a big stick”. The stick he has in his hand stands for the artist belief of his abuse of presidential authority and the power of our foreign nations. The birds in the cartoon depict the European nations as vultures waiting to collect their debts that poverty stricken Latin Americans owed to them. President Roosevelts cartoon character is enlarged to represent his government affluence held by the…

The President of the United States holds a lot of power and needs to be mature, confident, and have strong moral values. So in this election where both candidates are facing controversies that are doing damage to their campaign, it is hard to decide who is more fit to be the president of the United States especially when it appears that neither candidate is fit to lead this country. Trump has accomplished a lot in his career like his business, his campaign and his policies which would help the economy while improving the country ass a whole. Trump also has several policies that he would like to enact that he would believe would help our country be more efficient and safer, unlike Clinton who wants to restrict some rights and risk…

When I was first asked to Vote it was an easy choice for me. I was picking Donald Trump. He was a business man that could help America financially and could take us out of the national debt. However, the more I looked at Donald Trump and the way his outlook on things were, I started to notice that maybe he is not a good fit for our president. Based on the way he wants to face the issues of education, foreign policy, and immigration, compared to Hilary Clinton and her way to face the issues it is clear to me now that Hilary Clinton is a better choice for presidential office than Donald Trump.…

Designers of all political parties, not just the Left, are capable of encouraging positive and negative change in the world. Graphic Designers, Cartoonists, and the Mainstream Media, are all aware of how impactful a strong emotional response can be, especially before a political event or poll takes place. Designers and Cartoonists draw inspiration from the media and social issues and incorporate them into their work. It is especially important that designers conduct more research than necessary to verify news sources and to keep in mind the potential political bias of the news source they get their information from. A picture is not exactly truthful these days and it is important to understand that the media can easily turn a picture into something it is not. Designers should take caution in developing political campaigns that use media stories and images to create more…

In the presidential election, pictures are often used to highlight the intensity a candidate and their audience possesses for their argument. In the presidential debate, no one can argue that Donald Trump isn’t passionate, but some may argue that his passions spiral into aggression too quickly. Trump has been derogatory and rude towards women, but women still attend his rallies. He says things that are offensive, yet he remains in a close race with Hillary Clinton, even though Clinton has served as First Lady, Secretary of State, and senator. This is surprising considering Trump is a rookie politician comparing Clinton to a lifetime of national attention due to her position in political offices. News outlets use snapshots of his rallying efforts to focus on his vigorous goals and attitude. A close inspection of images of Donald Trump used by multiple news outlets during the presidential campaign, illustrate Trump’s unconventional, unrefined approach and the loyalty it creates in his followers. In image 1, Donald Trump is in front of a crowd of people who seem to be pledging their loyalty. He takes on a leadership position very similar to that of a preacher. From the reactions of the people in the background, they seem to be happy and laughing and loud. Looking at the image, the crowd rings with shouts of praise for Trump and his policies. He takes on this revivalist attitude and encourages followers to believe his themes can be accomplished.…

The Republican presidential candidate has denied the allegations, and has reacted angrily when his political rivals have repeated them on the campaign trail. One example of this is during the Republican presidential race, when Marco Rubio stated the following statement during one of the debates: "There are people who borrowed $36,000 to go to Trump University, and they're suing now - $36,000 to go to a university that's a fake school, and you know what they got? They got to take a picture with a cardboard cutout of Donald Trump." This was not the only incident, or lawsuit case that Trump has had to deal with in regards to Trump University, however. According to The Huffington Post, in 2005, the New York State Department of Education sent Trump and his business partners Michael Sexton and Jonathan Spitalny, a letter stating that they were violating state law by using the word "University" when in fact “Trump University was not actually chartered as one, and did not have the required license to offer live instruction or training.” Even though Mr. Sexton promised that the organization would stop instructing students in New York State, and would stop using the word “University”, the New York Attorney General later said…
