Compare And Contrast Christianity And Islam
Christianity is the most popular religion in the world and Islam is the fastest growing. Christianity has 2.2 billion followers, it's the religion with the most followers. Islam has 1.7 billion followers making it the second biggest and fastest growing religion in the world. They are the two biggest religions in the world.

Christianity is the most populated and best known religion in the world. The Christian God is split into three forms. They believe he is the, Holy Spirit, God, and Jesus, which were all the same person but lived in different bodies. Their sacred text is called the Bible. The Bible is a set of rules and scripters that consist of 66 books.

Islam is the fastest growing and second largest religion in the world. They have one god that they worship. Their god's name is Allah and their afterlife is called Paradise. The Islamic religion also has a sacred text that they live by. They have a Qur'an which consist of 114 units. …show more content…
They both believe they can worship anywhere, including their home. They do have a specific place they worship, Christians worship in a church and Muslims worship in a Mosque.

In conclusion Christianity and Islam are both well-known religions. Their God is the same. They worship their God anywhere they go, even at home. Their afterlife is different though. Christians go to heaven and Muslims go to Paradise when they

    Two of the largest religions in the world today didn’t just get this way overnight. Both these religions emerged throughout time and spread in various ways. Christianity existed several centuries prior to the birth of Islam, and by the time Muhammad founded Islam in the Middle East, Christianity had moved its center to Europe, where it had firmly established itself as the official religion. But Christianity originally sprouted in the Middle East after Christ's resurrection in A.D. 30. During this early period, Christianity did not expand far beyond Jerusalem. Islam was founded about 550 years later, around the beginning of the seventeenth century. In 610 A.D. Muhammad claimed that he received revelations from God that called him to preach a new religion called Islam. At first he began to do so secretly, but after three years he found the courage to proclaim his new faith publicly and gained a growing number of followers. Islam's growth was limited during this time, and it did not spread far beyond Mecca. Eventually, Muhammad left Mecca and he fled to Medina. He gained many followers here as well. However, his monotheistic message was not well received by many in his polytheistic city. As a result, the early Muslim converts faced persecution, just as the early Christians had. During the first two centuries, Christians did not force their religion on others but relied on missionaries and preaching.
