11 February 2014 Sitting in a room when one looks around, majority of the people in that room are usually on their cell phones. People have begun to cut out human contact with one another and have become so focused on what is going on, on their phones. Cellphones have become an important part in most of our lives and picking a phone today has become just as stressful as buying a house or a new car. Most people own a smartphone, and in today’s society there is a big controversy over two particular smartphones on the market and which one is better. The iPhone 5 an apple product, and the Samsung Galaxy S4 a Google product. Each phone is admired for different reasons such as its appearance, size and new technology built within the phone. While both of these phones have a lot in common, there are some rather large differences that can persuade a buyer’s opinion to go either way. The iPhone 5 and the Samsung Galaxy S4 are identical in a number of ways. To begin with, both phones are smartphones. Smartphones are all touchscreen; if the phone is not touchscreen then it is not considered a smartphone. In addition, all smartphones must have a data package bought with the phone; both of these smartphones are run on a 4G LTE data speed. Also smartphones are usually bought with a carrier to hold a contract for the phone; the two of these smartphones are available at all carrier stores. For example, Verizon, AT&T, Sprint and T-Mobile all have these two phones are available to be purchased. The only major difference with these two phones is the company that makes them. The iPhone 5 is made by apple, whereas the Galaxy S4 is made by Google. Second, the technology built within the two phones is very similar. Both the iPhone 5 and the Galaxy S4 have gadgets that are comparable but usually with different names. For instance, both smartphones have voice commands, a mobile hot spot, security lock screens, hands-free controls and app stores that are used to download different
