Technology has changed communication between classmates through the implementation and use of Canvas which students can use to discuss their assignments and homework. Not only would that but the easy accessibility of social networks on stationary and mobile devices would easily permit communication on a possible instant level.

With the convenience of commercial and corporate email service, work associates are then able to send emails to multiple work associates instead of having to individually sending them. Along with the popularization of Skype, meetings can be held whether an associate is overseas, out of town, or sick in bed.
For easy and simple communication between family and friends, texting has made communication easily attainable on a near possible level. Additionally with the accessibility of cellular phones, family and friends can easily call each other as a form of communication.

In the instance of a classroom setting, classmates could use thumb/flash/usb drives to collaborate, assist, and compare his/her progress on their assignment with each other. Flash drives are not only applicable in a classroom setting but also a work setting where it is used in to save data and important files that they may have for their coworkers and clients, but they would probably have a preference for hardware with more memory like an external hard drive.

In multiple settings software is a necessity, since it is the backbone of practically every program and operating systems available for use in almost every environment, such as Microsoft Office and Windows Vista. Much like software, application is a term that is used interchangeably with software because all applications are software, but all software are not applications. An application that is largely important in communicating and collaborating with others are web browsers, such as Mozilla Firefox and Chrome, since they allow the individual to access the bountiful internet. Cons of Texting

    • 5 Pages

I remember whenever I had something to ask or tell someone I would just give them a ring, now a day it’s just a text here and there. I’ve forgotten what some people’s voices even sound like. Most always I text before I call; from work issues to just contacting my mother and it makes the issues less personal and sometimes can be perceived as less than important. My mother tells me all the time that if the issue was that important I would have called instead of sending a text. Texting also opens the window for anyone to say almost anything, especially things they wouldn’t say not only in person but on the phone. It is easier to say things over text since you can’t see someone’s reactions if it’s something unpleasant or weird, I know from experience that I resort to sending an awkward or unpleasant texting to avoid a face to face talk or even a phone call. I’ve gotten some creepy texts as well from people I know who would never have enough courage to say what they texted to me to my face. Texting can take a 5 minute phone conversation and turn it into an hour ordeal, instead of calling my friend to ask her what she is doing and her plans later, I’ll text instead and the wait for a reply and all the small talk actually turns out to be pretty time consuming. Texting in short is…

Before text messaging people would write letters, call each other, and a more recent way of communication is email. All of these were obviously ways to communicate faster and more conveniently. Letters are a long process, you have to write the letter, find an envelope and stamp then take it to a post office or some where that has a mail pick up. After all that you wait for a response and then that person has to go through all that too then depending on the distance it could take a while. Then there is the telephone a great communication device. You grab the phone dial a number and then you talk to some one (if they answer). That’s one of the easiest and fastest ways to communicate with some one. Email is more recent and it’s just like letters only faster and online. Each one of theses things were invented for an easier and faster way to communicate. Text messaging is a newer faster way of communicating.…

Communication has evolved in several ways since the beginning of time. A telephone is a telecommunications device that permits two or more users to conduct a conversation when they are not in the same vicinity of each other to be heard directly. A telephone converts sound, typically and most efficiently the human voice, into electronic signals suitable for transmission via cables or other transmission media over long distances, and replays such signals simultaneously in audible form to its user. The telephone allows people to communicate with others that are not around them. In modern day society people use texting and calling several times a day to communicate with people in a convenient manner.
