Comet Birthmark Symbol
An important symbol that presents itself is the comet birthmark. The birthmark is given to the six main characters that play an important role in their time of the human history.According to the text,"Robert Frobisher mentions a comet-shaped birthmark between his shoulder blade and collarbone."     Arguably the most strongest and most present symbol of the whole book. The reader learns of frank as soon as the book starts.     Symbolism was found many times throughout the story. The first time I came around symbolism was when the family was talking about Toomsboro. Toomsboro sounds a lot like tomb so that symbolizes the eventual fate the family will soon meet. The next symbolism I found was when The Misfit’s car was going down the road towards the disoriented family.
