Columbus Blue Jacket Reflection
For my 20 time project I learned how to manage a hockey team with the Columbus Blue Jackets, So basically like rooms in the arena, jobs with the team and I learned that there were two different entities associated with a team, one is the actual team and the staff. And the other is arena management, they are the people were maintain the facility, security, and much more. In class I researched the staff and researched other rooms that I couldn't see on the tour. And outside of class I took a tour of nationwide arena and got a better look of the arena management side of the team, and also I made my final product on publisher and printed it out in color. I took Columbus Blue Jacket backgrounds and put them in the my final product and used them …show more content…
Next, I think this project has been a success because I was able to learn a lot about managing a team, and my project has definitely impacted me because it could in fact be a backup job for me if I don't get in the NHL, then i’ll still be involved with the sport I love. If I do get into this, I will already have an idea on what goes on and maybe a choice of what I want to be. What I learned about myself is that talking to new people isn't all that bad, you just have to be nice. Something that surprised me was that there are so many jobs with a team, the amount of staff is really big. I also think that my project could impact other people as well as getting people interested in managing a team, maybe it doesn't have to be hockey, it can other sports too. So my project has definitely impacted myself and others as well. Well now after the project is over I probably could make some adjustments. Such as getting more information about the team entity. Although my original questions was answered I might have wanted to get a little more information. I am still interested because I love hockey and I would any decent job to be into

One of the projects involved creating growth curves for over 20 different species of green algae. I obtained daily cell counts and logged them into an excel spreadsheet to create individual growth curves. I displayed the results of the project in such a manner that users could easily obtain the growth rates of individual species and also compare the growth curves of one species to…

The project category I chose was to create a website because I am a computer savvy person. I also chose to make a website because I never made one before and I’m always interested to learn how to do new things. The first step in making the website was to sign up on the website that you make your website on. Next, I had to watch a YouTube video to get familiar with the process and steps to creating the website. After, I took the information I researched and uniformly put it in my website within its own categories. Last, but not least I reviewed my website a couple times.…

In the film The Scarlet and the Black, we see a different kind of priest portrayed. Fr. Hugh O’Flaherty is not your everyday pastor. After seeing what type of life he has lived, the priesthood may look appealing to many. He is constantly helping people and getting in and out of trouble. The situations he finds himself in may not necessarily be because he is a priest, but rather because of the type of person he is. Fr. O’Flaherty’s drive and desire to help people makes him a saint to many people. Many priests probably would not have gone to the extent that Fr. O’Flaherty went to in helping the soldiers. He was close to death many times, but continued to fight for freedom. Some parts of this film, to me, seemed over done in the idea that Fr. O’Flaherty was some type of superhero. There is no doubt in my mind that he was an awesome person and helped many people, but do I believe that he fought evil ninja priests? Not necessarily.…

I created my project by first looking up the information on the Battle of Fredericksburg so I could have an idea what I’m doing my project on. Then my partner and I picked our sides and did our individual research. We then met up and began our project with our information. We each made a few slides to give information about our respective armies and put important information on them. We then prepared what we were going to say and saved out project and put in on a flash drive.…

There are very few people who are lucky enough to be a captain of a team. I am one of those lucky few people. On April 12, I had an audition to try out for a Color Guard Captain position. I had been waiting for that day since early February. On April 15th, the captains were announced. I heard my name, looked at Makayla Hurt, she heard her name, and we could not believe it. Over the weekend, I thought what can I do to help improve the team. Well I can improve skill, change attitude for the better, and how will the decision I made along with our coach of me being a captain affect the team.…

"For years it was my embarrassing task to sit in on the meetings of whites and blacks, to serve one ridiculous but necessary function: I knew, and every black man there knew, that I, as a man now white once again, could say the things that needed saying but would be rejected if black men said them...for the simple reason that white men could not tolerate hearing them from a black person's mouth" (Griffin 177).…

For my freshman interim, I learned about the wildlife and ecology in Colorado. While we were staying at Keystone Science School we learned about the Colorado water rights and how every drop of water in Colorado belong to someone or something. Water to Coloradans is incredibly important in a sense that everyone needs it and has to find it or get it in some way. In India, water is also very important especially regarding the Ganges. The Ganges is seen as an important symbol for Indians, it is a place where they can cleanse themselves of their karma and where corps are put so their soul can fulfill the cycle Maksha. In both Colorado and India water is something that provides problems for society. In Colorado those cities or landowners that…

As a student wanting to be a part of the NHS program, it is essential that I demonstrate the core values. Individually, I exemplify the characteristics of a leader. I have played club volleyball for 5 years, currently going on my 6th year, and I have been captain for the previous 4 years, despite moving to a new club. Many people are unaware of the pressure given to a team captain. A captain is constantly looked up to as an example and exhibits leadership traits. As a captain, it is my responsibility to coordinate my teammates’ role and constantly motivate and encourage. I want the best outcome for my team and it is my duty to help them achieve greatness. In order to do so, I treat my team with respect and and recognize the contributions of…

I am extremely sad that color guard season is over. Even though there is a winter guard, I’m not doing it this year. On Tuesday, the entire band went to all the elementary schools and also the middle school to end the season. I have never been to Forest Hunt, and I was surprised how small the gym was. I really enjoyed going back to Harris and seeing my favorite teacher, Mr. Wallace. I’m going to miss all the seniors who graduate this year. Next year will not be the…

My project is on Toothpaste and Bacteria, and how bacteria is effected by toothpaste. I found this project very interesting because it was an opportunity to see first-hand how bacteria grows. I could also see other objects effecting that growth. I was intrigued to see how the bacteria would grow, in what way, and to see different substances, materials, and external agents influence the experiment. Circumstances like temperature and sunlight also altered the project. All these factors affected my decision to choose this project. I have learned many new concepts from the experience, and I am glad to say that I made the right decision in choosing this particular experiment.…
