Prompt: A range of academic interest, personal perspectives, and life experiences adds much to the educational mix. Given your personal background, describe an experience that illustrates what you would bring to the diversity in a college community, or an encounter that demonstrated the importance of diversity to you.
My life has not been anything out of the ordinary. I grew up in the small town of Cinnaminson, New Jersey with my family. I have been friends with the same people for many years. I would say I am a privileged child; I have all the necessities of life and some. My life consists of playing a sport every season, going to school, and spending time with my friends and family. I still don’t know the answers to these questions. All I know is I want to be a part of something bigger than myself. A diverse environment will encourage me to step out of my comfort zone. This will benefit me in becoming a better-rounded person. I have always looked forward to going to college, and being on my own, and learning about life outside my home town. As long as I can remember I have always been curious. I enjoy learning about people, their
