College Athletes Should Get Paid

College athletes come after school and during school everyday for practice. College athletes also travel from place to place and they have to play games every week and sometimes there games are on weekend. Some athletes that play dangerous sports like football and baseball could get hurt for playing their sport. I believe that athletes should get paid for playing for many different reasons. College athletes should be paid for playing because they put their bodies on the line when they play in their sport, it could also make the athlete stay longer in a college sports, and they make their college tons of money so why can’t the college pay the athlete.

The first reason I think that college athletes get paid is because athletes In college devote about 43.3 hour in their sport every week and thats 3.3 more hours than the average american worker. If they end up getting
If a college athlete gets paid they may stay longer in their sport and have more chances to go pro. Paying college athletes could create a sense financial awareness. Because college athletes are financially irresponsible with their money. So it could teach the athlete how to use their money.

The last reason that I think that college athletes should get paid is because most athletes work really hard to be in that sport do college and some of them have jobs and families they have to keep up with. Some of the athletes that have jobs could get stressed out with all the work they have. If they get paid they can have just a little bit less things to do off their chest.
